Location & Arrival
Thanks to its location, Regensburg was already an important hub in the middle ages - it had the only safe bridge across the Danube between Ulm and Vienna. Until today, Regensburg is an important centre in eastern Bavaria, located between the Bavarian and Upper Palatinate Forests where the Danube, Naab and Regen rivers meet, close to the Czech border. Often acclaimed as "Italy's northermost city", it has something to offer for everybody: it is a UNESCO world heritage site, offering history, water, boat tours, unspoilt nature for hiking and cycling, city life and culture, trade and shopping opportunities and young or student life.
